What do you charge for Fertility Awareness Coaching, is it expensive?

I teach Fertility Awareness over a four to six session period.  The first session is about two hours followed by three to five one hour sessions.  They can take place in person in the Louisville area or over the phone if you are located elsewhere.  The fee for four to six sessions varies depending on our arrangement.  The arrangements go from FREE to $250, click here for more details. If, after you've completed your sessions and would like regular ongoing assistance, I charge $15 per half hour but other increments can be negotiated or $5 per month for ongoing email assistance.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check or credit card. **UPDATED** Now accepting barter agreements.

Do you offer a referral fee?

New in 2009!! I'm excited to announce that YOU can now make money by referring your friends and clients.  I offer a $25 referral fee for each paid client (full client, not chart consult.)

I already know how to chart and have been for sometime, can you still help me?

Yes, I also do "chart consultation" and this ranges from FREE to $25 per one hour session depending on our arrangement, click here for more details.  During these sessions we will review your all your charts to date and work on coming to some conclusions about what your charts are actually telling you about your fertility and potentially any underlying health issues.  With this information, you can make changes yourself or follow up with your doctor or fertility specialist for further testing, information, etc.

Are you against artifical assistance/IVF?

I get asked this question all the time.  I am not against it if you have explored and exhausted other natural means.  By "other natural means" I mean charting, dietary changes, Juice Plus+, bioidentical progesterone cream, etc. I do not mean having unprotected sex for a month or so and then heading to the doctor for the first round of Clomid.  I find women who do this really have no clue about their body and what it takes to make a baby.  Do your homework ladies!!

 Am I infertile?

The reason that I am such a proponent of Fertility Awareness is the amazing things that it can tell you about your body.  One of my first clients was put on Clomid and Progesterone with only a mention that maybe she should chart to know exactly where she was in her cycle.  Her doctors assumed that she had a 28 days cycle and gave her medication at those times.  When she came to me in 2005 after months of being off the fertility drugs we learned from charting that she really has much longer cycles and therefore was ovulating later than the doctor thought.  She was able to get pregnant almost immediately.

Is my partner infertile?

Charting can expose luteal phase defects, fertility patterns, ovulations times, amounts of fertile fluids, and so much more.  I suggest that prior to any invasive testing for either partner, the female attempting pregnancy should begin by charting her cycles for at least three months to see if any patterns show up.

 Should I seek IVF/artificial assistance?

Because my approach to life and pregnancy is holistic and natural, I recommend exploring all the natural alternatives first.  As previously stated, charting can unveil a great deal about your body.  If potential problems are uncovered, with the assistance of recommended providers, you can address many of these issues naturally.

Do I have underlying health issues?

Charting will expose luteal phase defects, fertility patterns, ovulation times, amounts of fertile fluids, potential thyroid problems, imbalanced hormones, and so much more.

I've (we've) been trying to get pregnant for months now, what's wrong?

Another amazing fact with fertility charting; more than likely, you'll know exactly what's wrong.  Maybe it is mistimed "baby-making" love or other issues (see question above.)

You're a coach, how does that work?

Because I am your coach, not a medical doctor, I'm there to support you!  There is no expectation that you know everything about fertility.  Also, my commitment is to you!  I do not have ten other patients to see at the same time I am coaching you.  We have prearranged times set up where you and your needs, questions, concerns, and venting (if needed) are my primary focus.  I can coach you on the results of your charting and assist you with forming questions for your doctor(s). I am here to be your champion!

My doctor mentioned charting, what does that mean?

Charting means keeping a log of your basal body temperature, cervical fluid, and cervix's feel and position to determine ovulation, etc.

Is this the Rhythm Method?

Absolutely NOT! the Rhythm method is outdate and was very inaccurate.

Is Fertility Awareness difficult to learn and use?

Yes and no.  Fertility Awareness does take time and training but once the rules are learned it becomes second nature.

Are there any side effects or health risks with Fertility Awareness?

No, because you are not adding any chemicals, etc. to your body.

Do I have to miss a period to know I'm pregnant with Fertility Awareness?

No, fertility awareness can confirm pregnancy as early as 16-18 days after your ovulate.

Are there natural ways to increase cervical fluid?

Yes, there are a variety of natural means to increasing your fertile quality cervical fluid.  Drinking plenty of water is the most basic, and often overlooked, way.

Do you see a common theme?

Fertility Awareness can answer

so many of your questions!
